Our Team

Dr. Jenny Luke was born in North Carolina and raised in New Orleans. She performed her undergraduate studies at Boston University in Massachusetts and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism. After moving back to New Orleans and working as a zookeeper at the Audubon Zoo and as a veterinary assistant for Dr. Rich at Avian and Exotic Hospital of Louisiana she decided to return to her true passion of veterinary medicine. Dr. Jenny received her DVM from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and graduated in the top 25 percent of her class. After working at a clinic in Baton Rouge for four years, Dr Jenny was excited to move back home to practice in New Orleans.

Dr. Jenny is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association (LVMA) and Southeast Veterinary Medical Association (SVMA). Her areas of interest include small animal medicine and surgery, dentistry, dermatology and geriatric medicine.

Dr. Jenny and her husband, Fletcher, have a daughter named Ellis, son named Miles, two rescued mix breed dogs named Betty and Agatha, and two chickens named Sally and No Name. She enjoys continuing to explore New Orleans with her family, enjoying its great food, live music and outdoor activities.

Dr. Stefanie Thibodeaux Markey is a 2005 graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is a Lafayette, Louisiana native, where she received an undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Since 2005, she has been practicing veterinary medicine and providing emergency care in nearby Old Metairie. Dr. Stefanie is extremely excited to now be practicing in Mid-City, the “heart” of New Orleans. A strong advocate of the human-animal bond, she believes in providing the best quality care in a comfortable and compassionate setting. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine and has special interests in dermatology, radiology, soft tissue surgery, and behavior. She is a member of the AVMA and LVMA. Dr. Stefanie lives in Mid-City with her husband, Ben; their daughters, Morgan and Lillian; dogs Oscar, Ethel, and Jack; cats Baxter, Cinderella, and Jumper; and tortoise Zulu

Germari grew up in Houston,Texas and moved to New Orleans about 5 years ago for school. She loves animals which is what brought her to the veterinarian field with the hopes of becoming one herself. She adopted one of our very own clinic cats, Kitty Minaj, who took a liking to her as soon as Germari started here. Ask her to show you a picture of the famous Kitty Minaj when you come in!

Haille joined Canal Street Veterinary Hospital in February 2020. She is originally from Mandeville and now resides in New Orleans with her two cats Sage and Clove. She loves hanging out with friends, drinking coffee, cold weather and being with family.

Kiya joined our team in August of 2023, she has since moved back from living in Florida and New York! She recently obtained a degree from Animal Behavioral College to be a Veterinary Assistant, her love for animals started at a young age and she has always owned pets throughout her life. She is super excited to have her first job in this field and be able to show so much love, compassion, and care to all of our clients four legged babies! During her free time she loves to try new seafood restaurants in the city, go shopping, and spend time with her friends and family!

Tabitha joined our team in July of 2021 where she has been welcoming our clients with her sweet smile! She currently resides in Metairie with her rescue pitbull named Birdie! In her free times she loves to cuddle with Birdie while watching their true crime documentaries, show lots of love to all of the cats that live here, and spend time with her family! She looks forward to welcoming everyone to our clinic!

Alaini joined our team in August of 2022 and comes from Chalmette everyday to be with us! She lives at home with her daughter and their brand new kitten named Astro and his sister Alley!
